the secret wardrobe life of wardrobetales no. 5 (melow edition)

photo no. 4: i always welcome the day each winter when i can switch out a down-filled coat/parka for a warm, wool or woollen clothe coat. like this cocoon number. i think that polar vortex days are well behind me for this "winter season". yay!

photo no. 5: on display here is one of the many "classic" bags that i own. many things that i own have  a memorable "feature" -- the one thing that i always think of when i use it. in the case of this bag, that memorable "feature" is its price: for what it is, a beautifully constructed new leather bag, it was a steal.

all my clothes are melow by melissa bolduc. my footwear is by john fluevog.

a sign that spring will come skirt

after a long (long) winter, the first day that i can wear a light cotton anything (in this a case, a skirt) is a very special day. it doesn't even matter if that day is followed by an extended period of cold days during which i revert to hiding beneath layers and layers of wools, heavy corduroys, heavy cotton jerseys and heavy sweatshirt fabrics. that first day is a true sign that what i know in theory will come (namely, spring ... and, ultimately, summer) will in reality come.

i am wearing the alpen top, the l/s manifold dress, the string jacket and the amazing skirt by kaliyana. my boots are the noon boot (box collection) by trippen.
